Most pianos in a home benefit from tuning once or twice a year. Pianos that are played a lot, or used for performances, may need tuning more often.
Usually, yes. A piano that has gone a long time without tuning may need a pitch raise first, which brings it up close to pitch before the fine tuning. We'll let you know before any work begins.
Digital pianos and keyboards don't need tuning, because their sound is produced electronically. Our tuning service is for acoustic pianos.
We tune acoustic upright, console, spinet and grand pianos in homes, churches, schools and venues.
We're based in Liberty, WV and serve the surrounding area for tuning and in-home lessons. Contact us with your town and we'll confirm. Online lessons are available wherever you are.
Many children are ready to start around age 5 or 6, but every child is different. Tell us about your child and we'll talk about whether they're ready.
Absolutely. We teach adult beginners and adults returning to the piano after time away, at a pace that suits you.
You'll need regular access to an instrument to practice. An acoustic piano or a full-size digital piano or keyboard (ideally with 88 weighted keys) works well.
Lessons take place live over video call. You'll need your piano or keyboard, a phone, tablet or computer with a camera positioned so we can see your hands, and a steady internet connection.
